Jessica Dayson,

Senior Pastor

JDayson@pinevilleumc.org

Jessica was born in Richmond, VA, but moved to Charlotte when she was a baby, so she has called Charlotte home for most of her life. She graduated from North Mecklenburg High School and then
attended Appalachian State University, where she majored in
Psychology. While at App State, she was deeply involved with the
Wesley Foundation, the United Methodist Campus Ministry. It was
there that she met her husband, Darryl.

They were both discerning a call to ministry and were fortunate to attend Duke Divinity School together. They got married in 2011 at Rocky River Vineyards, just outside of Charlotte. Jessica's first appointment out of Divinity School was serving two small rural churches in Candler, NC. After that, she had the privilege of serving as the campus minister at the Wesley Foundation at UNC Asheville.

In 2019, Jessica and her family relocated to the Charlotte area, having loved their time in the mountains. She then served for six years at Myers Park UMC as the Pastor of Lay Involvement, where she supported new members, Sunday School, Women’s Ministries, and a myriad of other ministries.

They have three children—Malachi, Levi and Zora.

Meriwether Minnix

Audio/Visual Specialist

mminnix@pinevilleumc.org

Meriwether is originally from Apex, North Carolina, a town near Raleigh. She moved down here in 8th grade, so, at this point, most of her life has been in the Charlotte area. She went to University of South Carolina and majored in Media Arts. It’s a broad major basically encompassing all things production - writing, sound, editing, ect. She learned about Pineville UMC from her former Band Director, Martin Dickey. He taught her brother how to run a soundboard in high school and then she followed in her brother’s footsteps in college. She is happy to be here to help make sure everyone can see and hear the worship.  She enjoys spending time with her goofy but loving dog, Goose, and her opinionated and silly cat Yeti.
